"Dates. Learn wild greens too. Sergei Boutenko has a good app for that. Doug Walsh did a similar trek on 100% raw vegan from memory. Late 90's I think. Alternatively ride a bike and do it in a few weeks. ;)"

"For sure.  For variety throw them in a bottle of water and after 4 hours of hiking on rough terrain you have datorade.  But I bet you already saw that on the video from Grant's talk during last years WFF!"

Profile Information

I spend most of my time...
I've always got my nose in a good book! Most of the time it's health related literature, other times just a good novel, memoir, or travelouge. When I get time off from work, I love to hit the trail and go backpacking for a few days. Hiking, biking, swimming... anything outdoors related I love! I'm addicted to salsa dancing and can be found dancing my shoes off 2-3 nights a week! AND... when I'm not at home working and being a "traditional citizen"... I can be found trotting around the globe in search of my next adventure!!!

Please describe your current diet (e.g. 811RV, Fruitarian, LFRV, raw vegan, vegan, vegetarian, transitioning from SAD), how stable it is, and how long you have been eating this way.
Transitioning from SAD to 811. I eat 2 out of 3 meals this way working towards 100%. I started making the transition back in October 2011.
Please describe the type and level of physical exercise that you follow.
I backpack and hike throughout the year. On a weekly basis I jog twice a week, and do pilates, yoga, and salsa dancing the remaining days.

My favorite food (fruit!) is...
Mango!
My greatest passion and goal in life is...
Vitality! That is the word I live by these days!!! I just want to be healthy, because with that happiness naturally follows along with everything else in life that all of us are entitled to. Health is everyones birthright!
Are you coming to the festival with your family/partner/kids? What festival years are you attending?
Attending 2013 and coming solo.
What are your hopes and expectations about this festival? What do you anticipate the most?
I just want to be around other people who live the lifestyle I'm working towards. I want to see their vitality face to face and experience it as well. I want to get energized and inspired and bring all that back home with me to share with others!
My favorite quote is...
Life will break you. Nobody can protect you from that, and living alone won't either, for solitude will also break you with its yearning. You have to love. You have to feel. It is the reason you are here on earth. You are here to risk your heart. You are here to be swallowed up. And when it happens that you are broken, or betrayed, or hurt, or death brushes near, let yourself sit by an apple tree and listen to the apples falling all around you in heaps, wasting their sweetness. Tell yourself that you tasted as many as you could." ~Louise Erdrich

Hi Jeanni!  Sorry I couldn't respond to you for a while there! I've been really busy with school.  I would love to offer you a place to stay, but we already have 10 people in a small house and we won't be around for those dates either as my cousin from out of state is getting married.  I'm really sorry :(  I hope you can find a place where you can stay. Yes!  I am going to woodstock and if you are as well, I would love to meet you there!  :)
