  • All children’s program staff undergo in-depth Background Checks and require extensive experience and references.

Fruit Will Take You To The Moon


For our older kids (approximately 5+), we’ll have model rocket building!
Building model rockets is fun and challenging! Paint and decorate them anyway you want!
Launching them 1000+ feet in the air is Awesome!!!

Attention Adults: This is an activity for kids! (But you can watch them launch!)

Note: 2 Rockets and 2 launching engines will be provided per child (ages ~5-13)

Go Karts

For kids driving a 12mph dirt buggy is fun!

Watermelon Boats

Using Watermelon shells from those who eat Watermelons in halves, then making sails out of coloured paper and rigging them using string and kebab skewers). Then sailing them!!

Group Painting

On a large size roll of paper where all the children have a space on it.

Sundials

This art project incorporates:

  • History—the sundial is the oldest manmade timekeeping device.
  • Geography—determine your geographic latitude for correct sundial placement.
  • Astronomy—learn to use the earth’s daily rotation to tell time.
  • Geometry—calculate the placement of the numbers on the sundial’s face.

Leaf Crown

Two part activity:

  • gathering the leaves and leaf stems, making the crowns.
  • On this photo Cappi is wearing Mango Leaf Crown that spreads heavenly aroma.

Dream catchers

Made of beads, embroidery cotton, and also twigs and feathers that we will find at the campsite.

Felt Puppets

The children will love designing their very own puppets from different pieces of felt, and when they finish – we will write and rehearse a Puppet Show!

Treasure-Finding Trails

We will break into groups and look for Nature’s treasures!

Orange Pomanders

A traditional holiday decoration and a gift that smells wonderful for weeks!

It is cheery and easy to make with kids of all ages!

Making Masks

Looking at how wearing a mask can affect how we behave and how we feel about ourselves.

Mobiles

Making mobiles out of twigs, nuts, seeds, fir-cones and other
natural materials that we will find at the campsite.

Stained Glass Windows

Tissue paper stained glass windows are a fantastic project that is easy to tailor to the skills of children of different ages. Placing the tissue paper squares is something even an infant can do, and older children can complete the project independently, from start
to finish.

Fir-Cone and Nut People

Using fir-cones, and seed pods, and nuts we may find at the campsite.

Sculptures

Making large sculptures, in groups out of the fruit boxes and packaging that will be at the festival.
